Breakfast

Coffee is a morning necessity in my house. When I used to work outside the home, I would enjoy running through the Starbucks drive-thru this time of year to enjoy their seasonal coffees. Now that I work from home and the closest Starbucks is 15 minutes away, I grab a bag of the ground coffee and can enjoy it every morning for a fraction of the cost.

Starbucks Holiday Blend

Normally I enjoy the Starbucks Medium Roast, however during the holidays, I have to go for the Holiday Blend. There are several complimentary notes in the Holiday Blend, including ginger, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange, and cloves. When we first brewed the coffee at home, my husband (who isn’t a regular coffee drinker) picked up on the cinnamon and nutmeg immediately. I didn’t even give him any choices, I simply asked him if he could taste any spices in the coffee. I was able to pick up on the orange and cloves. It’s funny how we have such varying palates.

Sams Club

One of the two local Sam’s Clubs that we have in town is carrying the Starbucks Holiday Blend. They had a huge display of it. Plenty for the holidays! The Holiday Blend costs $18.98 at Sam’s Club. If you consider how much you spend one 1 cup of Starbucks coffee in the coffee shop, this is an excellent price if you drink it daily. I enjoy between 1 and 2 cups of coffee each morning, so it is well worth it for me. Plus, I love the Starbucks brand of coffee.

While in Sam’s Club, I also picked up some of their Artisan Fresh Cinnamon Rolls from the bakery  to pair with my Starbucks Holiday Blend. What an excellent pairing this is!

Cinnamon Rolls

Let me tell you how wonderful these cinnamon rolls are! My entire family commented that they tasted like homemade cinnamon rolls, not like store bought. Delicious! The flavor of the cinnamon and the orange and nutmeg notes in the coffee went so well together. My taste buds were happy! I have a feeling that the Starbucks Holiday Blend is going to be able to be paired wonderfully with many of the breakfast foods that I enjoy,

Holiday Breakfast

I’ve decided that I am going to purchase some more of these cinnamon rolls closer to Christmas and before our family comes to town for the holidays. I don’t get to see my family very often, so I definitely don’t like to spend all day in the kitchen while they are here. The Holiday Blend Coffee and Cinnamon Rolls will make a perfect breakfast or brunch with very little clean-up required.

What would be another delicious pairing with the Starbucks Limited Edition Holiday Blend?
